I am Vibhor Bijoy from Noida. I work as a software engineer at Thales Noida. I am also a sports analyst and have written 10 books across different genres.
I Shall Keep Your Promise Alive, the book we are discussing today, is a romantic suspense novel about love, relationships, and promises, set against the backdrop of a political crisis.
My latest book is The Best World Cup Ever: An Ode to T20 World Cup 2026, about the T20 World Cup 2026. My Hindi poetry books include Bhav Vibhor, Aaina, and Adhura Lafz. I have also written the thrillers Kabir Meets Kabir, Kanpur Ki Kulfi, and Scaling the Wall. Cricket Post COVID explores cricket in the post-COVID era.
What inspired you to write this book?
In today’s world, I feel people have made a mockery of relationships. There is a clear lack of mutual understanding, love, and respect between two individuals who are starting a relationship. Therefore, I felt the need to write I Shall Keep Your Promise Alive so that people understand love, pain, and the value of promises in life, which I feel we have forgotten in today’s world.
Please tell us about your book. What is it about, and who is it written for?
I Shall Keep Your Promise Alive is the journey of a mother and son who are looking for a second chance to rediscover love amid a political crisis.
The book is written for today’s Gen Z. I feel that relationships are not always taken seriously and that materialistic things are sometimes given greater importance, whereas love is about being true to yourself and your partner.
What was the most enjoyable or the most challenging part of writing this book?
The story of Vijay and Reena, the two main characters, was the toughest part to write. Their journey, how they meet, fall in love, and eventually separate, was emotionally challenging to develop.
Reena’s personal journey, which is full of heartbreak, was particularly difficult to write because her character depicts the true strength of a woman.
What do you hope readers will take away after reading your book?
I hope that after reading I Shall Keep Your Promise Alive, people understand the meaning of true love and the value of keeping promises in real life, and perhaps look at love and relationships differently.
