Hi! My name is Dr. Ravi Bhatia. I am a paediatrician by profession and a quizzer at heart. I have been an avid quizzer since my school days and have this firm belief that quizzing as a hobby is a perfect elixir for the inquisitive mind.
What inspired you to write this book?
As a pediatrician, interacting with kids day in and day out, I found that many children today are unaware of India’s rich culture and glorious past. Keeping this in mind, I wrote a quiz book titled Let’s Quiz Kid: Volume 1 so that kids get inspired to read.
Please tell us about your book. What is it about, and who is it written for?
Let’s Quiz Kid: Volume 1 is a collection of 500 questions about India, organized into 50 quizzes of 10 questions each. The questions cover Indian history, geography, literature, culture, sports, and more. The book is designed for anyone who is curious and wants to learn more about India.
What was the most enjoyable or the most challenging part of writing this book?
Researching the book was the most enjoyable part. It involved extensive reading, taking notes, and then framing the questions. The best part of writing the book was that my own knowledge also increased by leaps and bounds.
What do you hope readers will take away after reading your book?
I hope readers will feel a sense of pride as they learn about our country’s rich history and glorious past. I also hope the book will offer an alternative to the screens that many children spend so much time on every day.
