Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello, I am Inderpreet, a logophile and a book lover. Reading is my first love, and I once won a prize for reading all the books in my school library! My day rarely feels complete unless I have spent time reading endlessly, writing freely, or editing manuscripts.
I am an authors’ editor with 12 years of experience in manuscript critique, copyediting, and developmental editing for fiction and nonfiction.
My first book, Generously Yours: His Gift From Beyond, is the story of Diya, a shy yet loving girl who faces an unimaginable loss. It is a story of resilience and determination, with true love as her guide.
My other books include We Women Wonder and Self-Editing, Editing, and Editors. I also wrote a short story, Love Paused, for the Blogchatter Book of Love.
I co-curated and edited The Red Pen Anthology (Vol I: Beyond the Margins), released in August 2026 as an official publication of the Indian Copyeditors Forum (ICF). I am one of the oldest members of ICF and the curator of the ICF Book Club. I am also the founder and curator of the Reading Force Book Club, a reading community for women from armed forces families.

What inspired you to write this book?
Generously Yours is a love story inspired by women who have no choice when their fate is decided by someone else. Sometimes, love alone is not enough in the face of fate. The story also draws inspiration from a bougainvillea and a beautiful house that a couple lovingly turns into their home.
Please tell us about your book. What is it about, and who is it written for?
My stories are women-centric, and Generously Yours is no exception. The book explores the idea that love is forever, but not always in the way we imagine it. Life tests us in many ways, and it is our inner strength that helps us move forward. At the heart of the story is the strength of a woman and how it supports her through difficult times. This book is for anyone who enjoys a meaningful story.

What was the most enjoyable or the most challenging part of writing this book?
The most enjoyable part was bringing the home and its personality alive to match the characters in the story. The house reflects the people who live in it, and getting that right was important to me.
The challenging part was maintaining the flow of the story while portraying the events in Diya’s life.
What do you hope readers will take away after reading your book?
I hope readers are entertained by this love story, but also find moments that make them pause and think about the many layers of life. Nothing is as simple as it seems, and nothing should be taken for granted. Live fully, love, enjoy the little moments, and cherish life. It can all change in a blink.
