Let’s Quiz Kid: Volume 2
Dr. Ravi Bhatia

Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi! I am Dr. Ravi Bhatia, a paediatrician by profession and a quizzer at heart. My love for quizzing goes back to my school days, and it has stayed with me ever since. I studied at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and have also participated in various quiz shows. For me, quizzing is more than a hobby. Every question sparks curiosity, and every answer opens the door to learning something new. I believe it is a wonderful way to keep an inquisitive mind active.
What inspired you to write this book?
The encouraging response to my first book, Let’s Quiz Kid: Volume 1, motivated me to continue the journey with Volume 2. I wanted to offer readers another 500 questions about India while retaining the format they were familiar with. This time, I also introduced fun fact boxes to add something new to the quizzing experience. My idea was to make the second volume not just another collection of questions, but an even more interesting learning experience.
Please tell us about your book. What is it about, and who is it written for?
Let’s Quiz Kid: Volume 2 brings together 500 questions about India, arranged into 50 quizzes of 10 questions each. The questions cover a wide range of subjects, including history, geography, literature, culture, and sports.
In this volume, I have also included fun fact boxes that introduce readers to interesting and lesser-known information about India. I wanted the book to offer more than just questions and answers, giving readers something new to discover along the way.
The book is for anyone who enjoys quizzing, is curious about India, or simply loves learning something new.
What was the most enjoyable or the most challenging part of writing this book?
Researching the book was the part I enjoyed most. I spent a lot of time reading, taking notes, and turning interesting information into quiz questions. In the process, I discovered many things I hadn’t known before, so writing the book became a learning experience for me as well.
The real challenge was making sure that none of the questions from Volume 1 were repeated. I kept the first volume beside me throughout the writing process, checking the questions as I worked on the second book. It required extra attention, but I wanted readers to discover something new in Volume 2.
What do you hope readers will take away after reading your book?
I hope readers will enjoy discovering more about India’s rich history, culture, and achievements, and feel a sense of pride in learning about our country. I would also love to see children develop an interest in reading and exploring new subjects through quizzing. With so much of their time spent in front of screens, I hope this book gives them another enjoyable way to spend their free time, one that keeps their curiosity alive and encourages them to learn something new.
